1. Overview & Commitment

Welcome to Class 2 Explorer ("we", "our", or "the App"), developed by Umakant. Our mission is to provide Grade 2 / Class 2 primary students (typically ages 6 to 8) with a fun, engaging, and completely safe educational space covering the NCERT syllabus across Hindi (रिमझिम 2), English (Marigold 2), Mathematics (गणित का जादू 2), and Environmental Studies (EVS).

Taking reference from recognized early childhood education principles (such as UKG / Class 1 / Class 2 child safety guidelines), our app is designed from the ground up with a privacy-by-design architecture.

2. What We Do NOT Collect

We believe young children should explore and learn without commercial surveillance. We strictly DO NOT collect, store, or transmit:

• Personally Identifiable Information (PII) such as full legal name, home address, or phone numbers.
• Personal email addresses of children or parents.
• Precise or approximate geographical location coordinates (GPS).
• Camera photos, gallery media, or microphone audio recordings.
• Biometric markers, device advertising identifiers (GAID), or hardware fingerprints.
• Social media profiles, chat feeds, or public message boards.

3. Device Storage & Local Data Retention

To provide motivation and progress tracking, the App stores lightweight learning activity data strictly inside the physical device's local memory (SharedPreferences):

• Nickname / Avatar: An optional local name chosen by the parent or child (e.g., "Aarav", "Priya").
• Curriculum Progress: Completed chapters, reading units, and practice question scores.
• Mini-Game Stats: High scores and records in Table Runner, Column Math, Grammar Sorter, and Clock Master.
• Trophies & Badges: Digital achievement badges, milestone medals, and stars.

4. Parental Controls & Parental Gate

To ensure young learners cannot inadvertently alter app configurations, reset progress, or access external reference materials, Class 2 Explorer features an arithmetic Parental Gate:

• Accessing the Parent & Educator Dashboard requires solving an adult math verification problem.
• Parents can review curriculum completion summaries, inspect student report cards, or perform a complete one-tap Progress Reset.

5. Speech Synthesis & Device Audio Safety

The App provides an audio teacher assistant to read NCERT poems (such as 'ऊँट चला') and English passages aloud:

• All voice reading is generated entirely on-device using Android's native Text-to-Speech (TTS) synthesizer.
• The App does not record or listen to children's voices and does not request microphone permissions.

6. Regulatory Compliance

Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act 2023 (India): We strictly adhere to India's DPDP Act provisions for minors. We do not track or monitor children's online behavior, nor do we serve targeted promotional advertisements.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA): We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13.

Indus Appstore & Google Play Families Guidelines: Meets all developer requirements for family, kids, and early education apps.

7. Parental Rights & Data Deletion

Parents retain full control over all stored statistics. You can:

• Reset all progress data instantly via the "Reset Student Progress" button in the Parent Dashboard.
• Clear application data or cache via your Android device's Settings menu.
• Uninstalling the App immediately and permanently erases all associated local data.

8. Policy Updates

We may periodically update this policy to reflect platform updates or regulatory improvements. Any modifications will be posted here with an updated revision date.
